Okay, ~~if you have a Playstation 3~~ go and buy a Playstation 3, and get yourself “Little Big Planet”. This game is absolutely EPIC and will sell so many PS3’s. I was given the game after my father in law bought a PS3 and didn’t want to even look at LBP assuming it was just a kids style game. No. this game is massive.

Think side scroller, mario bros style, but 3D, killer soundtrack, killer visuals, 4-player co-op (including online), voice, create modes, intense customization in so many ways.

Seriously, look at it, I’ve been up late at night since I loaded the disc into my PS3, for several nights, SO GOOD.

HP laptop

So I got a new laptop! but… it’s a HP, not an Apple! oh no! It’s okay, it’s a work laptop, which work paid for. Sif I’d buy a HP!

It’s a 6730b, it’s just a business machine, big, clunky, crappy screen resolution, aweful display, and gimmics like a shoddy web cam and a finger print reader!

Oh well, it’s for work stuff! Perhaps I’ll get a new mac, sometime… when the cash rolls in!

Red Bull Air Race, Perth, Western Australia

I’ll be at the Red Bull Air Race when it comes to Perth this weekend. I’ll be on the river on a paddle boat with mates and hopefully video’ing as much as I can in HD! Need to prep my tapes, batteries and gear and try to pack everything into a single camera bag. Meals are included on the day, only alcohol need be purchased!

oh boy do I need a new Mac

I sold my orig Rev A core duo Macbook Pro a few months ago, in prep for the new ones. I’ve now been provided a work laptop (a fricken HP, vomit), I’m wondering if I should bother with an Apple notebook anymore or go a 24″ iMac.

I need something that will edit HD video with ease, the old Macbook Pro didn’t really have issues. I wonder if a new Macbook would be okay, just a 2.4Ghz, 4GB Ram…. hrmmm, or iMac!

In the meantime, I’ve removed the kitchenmac and it’s being used on my desk right now. G5 1.8Ghz FTW!

big ride

Yesterday I went on a fair size ride on the PX200, about 200km round trip, it was nice, but it made me realise a couple of things. the PX200 is not a comfortable scooter to do any kind of long distance touring on, my open face helmet sucks for wind noise and bag splatter.

It was fun, and the weather was magic!

I passed my R-E (250cc bike) license and now have my new Vespa PX200 at home.

Coming soon, chrome racks front and rear, as well as personalised number plates!

In just four day’s I’ll be doing my riding test to get my 250cc licence (R-E). Fingers crossed. Must pass this to be able to ride my new Vespa home from the shop… please, no more bus to work! cmon! haha Forecast is rain and wind, both two bad things to have when scootering!

They’ve stopped making them, they are starting to become harder to find, before long you just will not be able to get a new one at all.

I had to have one. 200cc, 2-stroke, 4-speed manual shift, stunning and elegant 30 year old design. mmm

I put down a deposit for my Black Vespa PX200 yesterday after riding one. oh yeah! Now I just need to get my licence, and sell my Vespa LX50. If your after a 50′, let me know, going for $3750, in mint condition.

Subaru Forester MY09

Well today we are picking up our new car. A 2009 Subaru Forester. Brand spanking new. It feels like it was only yesterday that I was writing about picking up our 2007 Subaru WRX. Shame I had a little accident in it!

Anyway, the new car should provide us with the versatility that we need to cart around little Charlotte and perhaps another kid in the future, go camping, long drives, tow trailers, etc.

I’ll have some photo’s online this weekend hopefully!

Webmin mobile theme

If you administer Linux servers, you might have heard of Webmin. If you haven’t, then you should take a look!

Well today, Jamie Cameron (Webmin developer) e-mailed me a sneak peek of the Webmin mobile device theme which will be released within the next week or so

The add-on is a theme that allows a mobile user to easily administer webmin from anywhere on a device such as an Apple iPhone and is available as an easy RPM update to your existing RPM installed webmin (tar.gz and deb installs also available).

While the interface works fairly well it’s still far from perfect with most of the module and configuration showing as regular full featured web pages and not “fancied up” by iUI (the framework that the rest of the menu system is based on). Jamie says that more work will be done in the future to further improve the UI. I have no doubt that further integration of iUI or even the webapp.net.free.fr framework will offer even faster and lighter access to your Webmin.
