Apple TV Updates
No this isn’t a post about Apple releasing updates to the Apple TV. It’s me asking you guys what you’ve been doing with your ATV lately!?
A lot of you have emailed me or posted questions and comments on the site regarding ATV.
Did you get your unit patched/hacked? Did you get that application running? Can you plug in a USB hard disk, or stream content from your other machines?

I did the patchstick hack to enable SSH then added AwkwardTV + NitoTV. Now I can watch pretty much any video without re-encoding . . . SOOOO much better. What’s also cool is that mplayer retains aspect ratio which is important for me cause I don’t have a WS telly. Haven’t quite got the SMB streaming sorted yet but at least it is possible!

Nice work Deeja. Did you use nitoTV to enable USB storage, etc?
I have a 500GB disk attached via USB to mine, is fantastic! network streaming is good, but attached storage is even better
