Subaru Driver Training Day

A couple of weeks ago we took the WRX up to the AHG Driver Training facility for a skidpan day. It was super fun and the first time that I’d been able to use their short circuit. I used to race at the facility some time ago in my previous car but this was the first time for the WRX.

Attendee’s were able to get a feel for what their WRX or Liberty could really do out on the track. We did some brake tests and some slalom courses before attacking the circuit. Talk about fun!

Wow this is cool. I just found this with a but of Apple TV searching. You can use your iPhone or iPod touch (or any web browser device) as an Apple TV remote control! Why you would want to I do not know, but here’s the link anyway:

Interviewed by 45n5.com

On the weekend I was interviewed by Mark over at 45n5.com

45n5.com is a “make money online” blog. It’s actually very interesting and there’s a great community there of people like me that are either interested in making money online, or at least learning a few things to optimize sites.

Mark puts up a lot of videos of himself discussion popular topics and primarily his experiences with his online ventures.

Check out the interview/blurb that Mark published about leopardtricks.com titled:

Apple TV Updates

No this isn’t a post about Apple releasing updates to the Apple TV. It’s me asking you guys what you’ve been doing with your ATV lately!?

A lot of you have emailed me or posted questions and comments on the site regarding ATV.

Did you get your unit patched/hacked? Did you get that application running? Can you plug in a USB hard disk, or stream content from your other machines?

Drop me a comment and let me know how your going!

Graphtec Craft Robo

Well on the weekend my wife and I picked up a Craft Robo (vinyl cutter) machine. She’s going to be using it for her scrapbooking, etc. But what else can we use it for? What could I use it for? stickers? T-shirt Transfers?, other stuff?

I might get some more info online later, with perhaps a bit of a demo video, who knows!

I hope that topic grabbed your attention, all I’m reading is “apple are going to release an ultra portable” and… “oooh did you hear that apple have put in a patent for….” and “OMG apple have placed a large order for new LED backlit 13.3″ screens from xyz in taiwan”.

Firstly, you can forget about an “ultra portable” if Apple are buying new LED backlit 13″ screens. I mean, c’mon, they’re just replacing the macbook screens right? Are the macbook screen’s LED backlit? or just the Macbook Pro? hrmmmmmm.

They might release a “more portable” Macbook Pro. Something in 13.3″ with the power/features of the big bad boy himself? I don’t know.

The secret is in energy saving, aesthetics and portability, we all know that. I love my MBP, I really do, but it chews through the power like there’s no tomorrow. I’d happily ditch the superdrive in the machine for double the power. (i do still only have the first MBP, the core duo i have no doubt that upgrading to a more recent model will give me more battery life). I won’t be upgrading anything with a baby on the way! Maybe I need to come up with a “buy me a new macbook” scheme. I’ll think of something! heh

Stop it with the crap rumors. All in good time my fellow fanboys!
